Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (Bsnl) has come up with a scheme that will enable their landline and mobile subscribers to check Incoming and outgoing call details on the Internet.
One just needs to log on to the new website to be launched by the state-owned telecommunication company soon.
At present, the facility is limited to mobile phone and landline phone users of the Kolkata circle of the BSNL. But, the scheme named Call Detail Record (CDR) system will enable both landline and WLL subscribers of other circles of BSNL to avail the services.

All subscribers will be provided with a customer identification number (customer Id), which they will have to key in at the appropriate place on the web page. Within a few minutes details of every call ~ including call duration, numbers dialled, rate of each call and total charge of the calls ~ will be displayed.
Call charges would also get adjusted automatically with a change in tariff or any other schemes. Four different cities including Kolkata (at Salt Lake Telephone Exchange), Pune, Chandigarh and Hyderabad have been chosen to start the CDR system

dude i check my landline's call details for a long time before , but it ds nt show local calls to bsnl landlines. except this all calls r shown !

It shows up all the calls even unbilled, also is there any limit? Like tata prepaid only shows up last 10 calls.

Nice inititative by bsnl. Hope they deploy it in all states which in turn will enable more transparency in billing.

Though Airtel was the leading Operator in the Country, they cant even update their website properly. But BSNL was doing a good job. Shame for Airtel.

That's coz they introduce something new daily out of fear of being overtaken b y other operators goldy. That too now a days I can see a lot of offers coming up in the form of boosters here in chennai. For example 61 booster was introduced in airtel 2 months ago wit A2A-30 ps,other mob-50 ps and 100 free sms/day wit a validity of 30 days. Now 2 days back the same booster wit the same offer they hav started giving for Rs. 99 for 3 months. Same way they r withdrawing boosters every other day which they feel is not profitable to them. e.g is booster 18 which gave us 10000 local sms @ night frm 11pm to 7am ws withdrwn within a month of introduction. So if this is the case they cant keep updating their website daily right for 22 cirlces..

updating offers on website is not a big task. Each circle has its own marketing manager with new offers. offer details must be provided to CC also so why not to paste it on there website also.
Idea,Vodafone, Mtnl, Bsnl are also doing this.

In my opinion, in this internet world every details should be clearly discovered . Subscribers dont want to wait for a long time by calling CC.

Is this info not upto date in CC comp ??
If YES then why cant they update the same in their website also ? Believe me , Users dont want to call CC everytime !
And here in karnataka if u call CC for few times continuously in a day ( due to disconnections or .. ) the cc gets block for some time . We cant speak to CC EXECUTIVE .
Before the limit was for Few days now its reduced to very few days or Few calls .

I agree to that coolguy. Some 3-4 months back I was not able to connect to customer care for one full month. Their CC ws so much congested it seems. I was fed up like anything. After a month I was able to connect once and they said they were in the process of upgradation. Now a days more than giving customer service to existing customers these airtel guys r interested more in increasing their subscriber base only.
