India spends more than 33% of its budget on interest payment
On today's budget Pranab Mukherji in slow tone announced that we paid Rs. 2,25,000 crore to pay the interest on Govt debt.
That is around 1/3rd or more than 33% of our budget and irony is increased deficit from 6.4% of GDP to 6.8% of GDP which means we are paying debt with more debt. Kind of financial debt trap which none of the govt. is taking seriously. |
