I have tried both my Hdfc Bank Mastercard Credit Card and Visa Debit Card.

Both were working before Aug1 and now none.

Biggest problem is paypal gateway which is used by most of Hosting cos. It's not working there also.

Contacted the Hdfc Customer care .... got a response to call paypal as problem is with them.
emailed the paypal people they replied to conntact Card co instead.

I think the problem is with HDFC bank as Rbi regulation stand true only on Indian Merchants not the international one. However Hdfc has blocked usage to all the merchants without the verified by visa/mastercard securecode facility.

The dumb Cust. Care hardly know anything so ..... whom to contact?

Anyone else tried there Credit Card or Gold Debit card for international purchase after 1 Aug?

try ctcing rbi ombudsperson. it will work

Do they have any credit card department?

Go to your bank account credit card link from home page there you wil see an option to register....
that will do things for you....

If you have used paypal then would definitely be knowing that they are a wallet like service and can't allow verify by visa/mastercard securecode.

I have already reg for these services way before it was made mandatory by Rbi. However then it used to work on paypal.

Finally the problem got solved itself. Atleast my hdfc Bank CC is working fine with paypal now
