Any one can confirm it?
New 2G mobile operators going to take over existing 2G network on Sep'10.
Existing 2G mobile operators(9) only will launch 3G network on Sep'10. Existing mobile operators will operate only 3G from Sep'10. These info i got from its official employees in Tamil Nadu. |

Is it a joke. They'll lose all revenue. And 3G spectrum being auctioned is not good for standalone operations.

AFAIK, there are only 2/3 3g operators vacant space depending on circle , how can all todays 6/7 existing 2g operators can convert to 3g in 6 months? How this possible?

Well they can give 3g on existing 2g spectrum like cdma operators are doing but from what i understand gsm 2g is not efficient as cdma. Already facing network problem on 2g spectrum they can't chalk 3g in same space.
